 Shannon Hillier was born January 6, 1980. She graduated from St.Goerges High School in New Harbour in 1998. She than attended Compu College School of Business in St.Johns and graduated with an Honors Diploma in Business Administration. She went on to study Animal Science (B.Sc Agriculture) at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College and spent a semester at the University of Guelph. She has spent a lot of time traveling and working through out the country, holding a wide variety of jobs. From being a maid and cashier in Alberta, to various factory work and car detailing in Ontario. While in Nova Scotia she picked strawberry plants and worked at a factory which made insulation from recycled paper. Since moving home from Calgary she has been developing a community run program which aims to take a holistic approach to waste management and the social issues which now face the province.
