38th Federal Election

Congratulations to Green Party of Canada federal candidates Steve Willcott, Scott Vokey, Lori-Ann Martino, Justin Dollimont, Don Ferguson, Ed "Sailor" White, and Steve Durant . Together with volunteers, donors and supporters we ran the most effective electoral campaign for the Green Party in Newfoundland and Labrador 's history and succeeded in our mission to begin exposing the historical poverty of the federal government's thinking and acting on ecological issues. From Natuashish to Three Rock Cove, more than three thousand voters did respond. A vast percentage growth from our 2000 election! The fact that five of our seven Green Party candidates were under the age of thirty (the only party to run youth candidates in the province) certainly forecasts our incredible potential for growth.
